Landscaping cost estimator for Laredo
Pick the work, set how much of it there is, and the tool returns a planning range. Published installed pricing sits behind it, so treat the output as a bracket to plan against. What counts is the figure written down after somebody has walked the property.

These ranges cover installed work: labor, materials, plant stock, equipment, and the excavation and disposal that go with them. They do not cover a structural engineer where a wall needs one, replacing an irrigation mainline that turns out to be failing once the system is pressurized, or restoring a driveway that has to be cut to get a machine in.
The variable that swings a Laredo quote hardest is the ground. Where a cemented carbonate layer sits high, trenching and tree pits stop being spade work and start being rock saw and breaker work, and the excavation line can double. What the ground turns out to be also changes from one corner of a lot to the other, which is why the honest version of this estimate has a wide top end on it.
The second variable is how much of the price is plant material versus how much is construction. A planting-led scheme is front-loaded on stock and light on machinery; a hardscape-led scheme is the reverse. Two quotes at the same total can be completely different pieces of work, which is why a plant list and a zone count belong on the page.
Sources behind each figure are set out in the pricing guide. How a design reaches the point of being priced at all is covered in the main guide.
The dark dot on each bar is the low end of the published bracket and the rust dot is the high end. The axis is square-rooted so the mulch bar is still visible next to the whole-yard bar; distances along it are not proportional to money. Sod and paving are missing on purpose. Both are priced by the ground they cover rather than by the job, so a single bar would only mean something once an area was attached to it, and the area is the reader's to decide. Their rates are set out in the cost guide.
